I'm thinking about putting the Coupe back on the road and am wondering if anyone has tried this with the tax?

1.Buy a years tax (about £300) and run the car for about 25 days.
2.SORN it and get a refund of 11 months.

It would allow me to get some miles on it and free everything up.

I tax my coupé per month from around March to October only and come the end of October put it on SORN.

I pay direct debit each month. I've been doing it this way without a problem.

Thanks - I guess there might be a 5% surcharge to go direct debit but it would be better than stumping up the £300
