Both look overly photoshopped. The colour is too sharp and bright and the edges seem to have been sharpened so much that the alloy looks jagged.

Also your eyes get drawn to the bright white of the driveway on the rightside of the image.

jealousy is a terrible thing...


but as we know its a porto either picture warms your heart!

the black and white one does bring out the lines a bit though!

I like the mood conveyed in the B&W one, it emphasises the shadows.

In my opinion, the composition is slightly out (you could lose the garage doors) and the background draws your attention to the many horizontal and vertical lines leading to a photo that looks a bit busy. And the door handle & Guttering distracts the eye. But fair play looks like you used "Rule of thirds"

Same photo with a post industrial background, while now a bit cliche'd might work better.

If you had changed aperture so Coupe was in focus while background was slightly blurred it might be better.

What camera/lense did you use? Also can we see the original photo for comparison?

From the shadow I take it you shot shortly before dusk? (Golden time), you got a good angle and shot

Did you shoot at maximum zoom and then compose?

These aren't criticism BTW, just some thoughts, I like the photo.

That's pretty impressive for a camera phone, I prefer the original as it has more "soul" than the others.

was really sunny weather at the time.

i personally think that the original is not dramatic enough- thats why i sharpened it and increased the contrast to bring out all the colours as well as left in the vertical/horizontal shapes.

IMO you kind of 'lose' the Coupé in the black and white one.

As mentioned already I'd suggest trying the car in colour but background in b/w to see what that comes out like

Experts say you get best light at morning just after dawn and just before dusk, I am guessing your drive faces North?

I think the first one looks slightly better although im normally a big fan of b&w because of the mood it can convey.

I'd be intrested to see what it looks like with the background in b&w because the colour of the car looks very rich

The bit of cloth that you can see in the gap between the garage and the wall ruins what would be a very nice picture!
