I run the eibach/bilstein combo which I think is pretty well tried and tested to being a reasonable setup without blowing the bank.

I've not had them on that long, but a little uncomfortable to push the car whilst cornering with them still. The standard setup I was used to, but now the car seems to be able to corner much quicker and flatter and as i say still getting used to the feel.

Oh, and the ride is pretty hard too!

eibach/bilstein, upper and lower braces and uprated rear anti-roll bar

Harder than standard but much better handling

Of course, dont bother doing anything unless all your suspension components are in good condition (new wishbones, top mounts etc is recommended)

I'm running Bilstein/Eibach combo with Powerflex bushes.

I can say that it really gives the coop a comfortable ride with better overall control over standard setup.

Even with the Eibachs I didn't felt a decrease in comfort, I really was impressed with the swap because it did the other way around and it gave the coop an extra bit of comfort over bumpy roads with a much more controllable ride.

On the other side, I think the B6 dampers aren't capable of hiding the coop's front heavy nature and bounce a bit. I've became aware of this just by driving my wife's Ford Puma on the same streets. The Puma handles much better, but hey... That's probably because the Puma is a more nimble package right out of the box car than the coop.

I'm almost ready to try and swap my almost new set of Billies with the Osrav's Jimbo used long ago. He stands by them so I assume they are really good.

I'm prepared to trade a little comfort for an uprated controlled ride, and I think these "suspension talks" among all of coop owners are really a matter of making choices.
Sacrificing some of this for that... And so on.

Nonetheless, I think none of the owners posted some thoughts about running underdamped shocks with a lighter bonnet, like the ones of AutoDS Team Poland for instance.

Their bonnet weights just 13kgs I suppose!!! So that's got to be a helper for those front shocks...

Mmm could well be something to look into, if costs not too excessive.

I run fk coilovers with 80nm springs and bravo top mounts and my coupe is lowered 30/35mm

Though they are a budget coilover and not to everyones taste, they suit my needs fine smile

Eibachs and Konis, with polybushed wishbones, uprated front and rear ARBs, strut brace, subframe brace and camber bolts set to -1.25

"firm and pointy" would be the best description

Konis are too hard really - I have them at fully soft for everyday use and even then, its a bit too firm for my liking.

Osravs were MUCH better - very compliant at soft settings, very firm and well damped at the harder settings

I run;
KW Variant 1 coilovers
camber set at about -1.5
uprated ARB
Bravo Top Mounts.

I was running FK Highsport Coilovers. The KW's i have switched to are much much better on road. There is no stupid bouncing with the KW's. I found that hitting a series of bumps, with the FK's on, would cause me to bounce and bounce and eventually take off. Whereas the KW's i now run just iron out the bumps nicely.

They are both a pretty similar ride on smooth road though, pretty firm, but not too much.

I haven't used the KW's on track yet, but i had the FK's on when i went to Spa, and they were actually very very good, on a smooth track

With current restricted funds I've been starting to 'up-rate' my previously standard LE. Wanted lowering more for appearance TBH than performance handling recently so sourced some Eibachs. Wanted Bilsteins as the reccomended setup for most Coupe owners here but as I'm sure you'll be aware they're pricey. MotorMech himself looks after (and sold me!) my car and reckoned they'd be fine with standard shocks for the road so had him install them. He was right - Yes if you want to track it or get optimum handling u need to uprate the shocks and ARB's/bushes however I was pleasantly suprised at the return - Yes its stiffer but rides not been sacrificed.........plus its looks the mutts....

I will purchase the OSRAV KGA + Eibach springs soon. Quite some money right there, so hope that it will really be more comfortable than my intrax set right now. Intrax is very-very good on flat surfaces and probably one of the best for track-day use. I can corner the coop very fast through a very famous local S-corner combination. Exit speed at 105 km/h where a lot of my other mates dont get over 80 km/h.

Yet they are way too hard for the bumpy roads i drive and i have sold them to SniperDJ for track use.

I'm on Eibach springs, and Bilstein dampers with a lower subframe brace.

I have recently purchased camber bolts, a whiteline rear ARB and a new Dedra front ARB which will be fitted in the near future.

The car is great at the moment, if a little bouncy at the front - but rolls a little too much for my liking...which the ARB upgrades should resolve. smile

I Got a set of koni sport shock absorbers in france for £280 last june, got it fitted to my car with leijofor springs all round, the one that normally come with the Koni, but i bought them seperately for £75
My shock are set to fully soft.
I dont know about other people, but it is not that crashy, and the handling is out of this world.
At the rear, i've got KAYABO shock.

...is anyone running standard springs/dampers but with uprated rear anti-roll bar and (on the froont) a lower strut brace? Am wating to preserve some ride comfort but tighten things up a tad. Am also thinking its cheap option! (not that I'm tight or out...)
