Hi All,

I am to purchase a Torque Italia quick shift selector for a 5 speed gearbox for a Feb 1998 Coupe 20vt.

Is this a late gearbox or an early box?

It has to be a late box in order for the quickshift to work.

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

That will be an early box i believe

Have a look and see. There are guides for both in the 'how to' section.

I would say i the Feb 1998 gearbox is early. mine is a late 98 car and mine is early!

the 2 quickshifts (early and late) are completely different, the early quickshift is just a shorter replacement linkage, but the later one (and 6 speed) is a whole mech assembly. (i know cause i bought one buy mistake )
