I'm booked in for some work on Wednesday (or rather the coupe is) anyone else around? I'll be down there all day and will probably have a walk to the shopping centre to amuse myself for a while if anyone fancies tagging along.

Anyway, I was just looking on Google Earth out of interest and I spotted a track type place west of PowerItalia. Enter 51"35'01.77"N 0"24'10.47"E into GE and it'll take you there. Does anybody know what this is? I'm just curious!

Lol, i wouldn't go near those shops. I was brought up possibly 200 yards from them and wouldn't go near them now. The people are all a bit 'funny'. 3 shoulders and 4 legs seems to be a common sight there /shudder

I reckon that track of yours (can't operate google maps...) would be Ford dunton. I've often fantasized about sneaking in there one night for a good blat. Maybe you could ask them if you could use their track? \:P

It could also be the RC track and MTX area just up the A127.

I don't know, I thought the shops were ok last time I walked there last summer. Had a wander round, bought a few things I needed and had a meal and a pint in a pub, can't remember the name. I think it was a Wetherspoons. I didn't really look at the people!

It looks like a proper road, meant for real cars. Two straights with a sweeping bend either end.

Don't Poweritalia provide a courtesy car by arrangement?

What with the England vs West Indies test match starting on Wednesday, I'm planning to watch some of it before having to leave.

Does anyone from around that area know of a pub that will be showing this?

I remember the pub I went in before as being The Moon On The Square - do they show sports?

Thanks.

Actually, I take it back, I agree with you. VERY strange looking people around!! PowerItalia employees and taxi driver excluded of course.
Oh well, new rad and oil cooler/pipes sorted at least. I wonder if it'll stop me from being paranoid?!?

Rog is a legend, fact.

I'd have given up on my Coop without him (them).

Cheers, Hedge

I personally think that Rubendi-al-dayed gives the best service at PowerItalia. He will also allow you to take his RX7 out as a courtesy car.

That's the one Rog. Completely shocking joint. I once had a scaffolder on site that used the drink there; the guy was the very definition of a scrote.
