I can't lie, it's been a pretty rotten year for my coupe. The problems are well documented, but now I am starting to feel the warmth slowly returning. I have finally mellowed, the problems are dissipating and now I feel the joys of ownership returning. A change of suspension has made day to day driving a pleasure, a new smile inducing turbo is slowly bedding in...it really is turning a new leaf. Just thought I would share that with you all \:\)

Nice to hear that things are coming together again Leighton.

After all, the rate at which your mapping skills are being required you simply HAVE to have a top coop yourself. \:D

finally out of the pit of tuning despair eh? I know the feeling and I'm quite sure the rest of the '400+ club' have been through it also.

Leighton good boy i knew you would turn the corner mate. Sometimes no matter how much money and effort you throw at them they just throw it right back at you but every now and again there is nothing to put a smile on my face like a coupe that is going well and frightening the life out of all and sundry.

'mon the coupes!

Good lad. I need a fix of track outings where 400bhp pulsars get completely and utterly ruined \:\/

Well I was looking to replace my top mounts with some new Bravo mounts due to the much softer ride they give the FKs. Unfortunately when I looked at my driver's side shock it was totally kaput, I pushed the damper down and it stayed there, zero rebound!!

So I have gone for a more traditional combination of Koni adjustable dampers and Eibach springs. I'll have to wait to see how capable this is on the track but it has at least made the roads around here much easier, especially for the family.

It's a good combo Leight - make sure that you get some negative camber dialed in on the front, makes a world of difference. \:\)

Does that single knock come in when booting it or braking hard over uneven ground?

If so I also have it and wonder if it's the top mount moving? \:\?

It only happens when there is no power applied, for example it would be worst if you were in neutral cruising over a cobbled road °\( . Leighton was thinking driveshaft. I have changed wishbones, track rod ends, ARB drop links, shocks, springs and top mounts. I reckon it might be internal ARB bushes or subframe bolts but will do some investigating this weekend.

What sort of power do you think you're running with the new turbo, is it smaller or bigger?

Coopless!
