It's under the scuttle panel (big black plastic cover), under the passenger windscreen wiper. Take off both wipers, undo all the screws on the scuttle panel, lift it off. If you look underneath the passenger wiper arm area, you'll see your pollen filter there

I dont even have that filter fitted it mists up too quick in the winter.

16VTs have pollen filters even if they don't have a/c.
16VT and X1/9 1500
