Its been many months since my car was last cleaned properly. It gets washed once a fortnight if its not raining on Sunday, otherwise, it can sometimes go a month between washes.

It NEVER goes in a carwash (actually not quite true - the only carwash in my town used to have an under-chassis wash - a long pipe along the ground with plastic nozzles along the upper edge - right up to the point where I used the carwash, and broke every nozzle off with my subframe brace - oops)

Anyway, in return for a lift to Derby for an interview at rolls Royce, I press-ganged Matthew into helping me clean the car properly.

So - five hours of cleaning, T-cutting, Meguiar's clay and Gold Class waxing go the car from looking like this to something rather more shiny \:D

It was REALLY mucky - I stopped halfway along the door to take a piccy of clean v mucky

I suppose it'll be cold next week and the gritters will make the roads all horrible and black again.

Looks very shiny, need to do the same with mine fairly soon.

PS - where's your rear number plate?!

Ex 20VT - now something far more sensible'ish... smile

I was in the middle of changing them for something a little more legal than the plates I got pulled for \:\(

Stan's colleagues couldn't see that these plates were only bending the rules a bit

Stan - I know - plate size is correct, font is correct, character size is correct, I hadn't even used bolts in a dodgy way to make the '8' look more like a 'G'. The only issue was the space between the 'L' and 'O' rather than between the '8' and the 'E'

Most galling was the fact that as I was being booked for my ever-so-slightly dodgy plates, several cars drove past with either tiny plates, italic fonts or dodgy bolt arrangements.

Wrong place, wrong time and a bored copper I guess.

Having said that, illegal is illegal, so I knew there was no point in arguing - would have been nice just to get a producer instead though.

I've bought P14 RKD, as my names Darren and surname PARK. So, spaced out I'll have it read like yours was Nigel, P14RK D.

But your cars looking mighty clean at the moment! \:D

Don't you just love that road \:#

I feel so lucky living within 30 minutes of it = weekends when nothing better to do ;\)
