What size do you reckon these are....& what would I need to fit them. Love the fit in the front wheels arches particularly. Mines a bit 'gappy'.

They are 18"s Chris, looked into getting them last year.

Give 'Elite' a call, they do a Porsche replica for not bad money.

Make sure they are ET50 or ET55 depending on if you're using the 20mm or 25mm sutd pattern adapters!

Beware that genuine Porsche alloys will probably be too wide for the rear unless you buy two sets of fronts

It matters not on those spacers, the spacer bolts to the hub and the wheel bolts to the spacer so they are super sturdy \:\)

Jimbo, I think we spoke about them last year too. I keep coming back to them. They are my favourite alloys so far.

Im tempted. But got loads to sort out first. So what spacers & tires would fit?

i guess that the lack of a gap betwwen edge of bonnet and tyre is more to do with the suspension mods (coilovers?) than the wheels.

look really good though!

Yeah, IIRC that car has coilovers fitted, and with a gap like that they must be set to rock-hard to prevent the tyre from rubbing.

I think those porsche alloys look so tasty on the coupe, i would like a set myself, how much was the whole package, i.e wheel and tyre package, and hub changed to fit porsche fitment, i have been on performancealloys, but if you have a hub so it fits porsche, what porsche do you look for when getting fitments from drop downs??? Anyone know

Do you think they would fit in 17", or just the 18" that they are (i think they are anyway \:D )

Genuine porsche rears are 10" wide!!

I'm sure you could find similar in 17"

i looked into this few months back

4x98 to 5x130 H&R adaptors are around the £250 mark

porsche alloys off ebay or check vw forums from £200 to £850

if i remember right you can go upto an 8" rim on the coupe fine

as johns has said about size ofet & adapter width

25mm spacers with 18 inch alloys will mean your tyres are outside your body. \:\(

Which is illegal isnt it?

i had 20mm spcaers on my standard 16" alloys, when i upgraded to 18s i got rid of the spacers cause with them on, like i say, the wheels were a few mil outside the body, and it looked about funny.

Well Im pretty sure the its the width that determines size of spacer....not the diameter, but I could be wrong?? Lets see what anybody says before I think about changing the order.

Id like to see a pic when you get them Chrisbp, the pic at the start of this thread looked lovely. Didnt realise it would cost that much though!!!!

Dont they do those alloys in 17", or would you need even bigger spacers???

chris. What offset are the wheels? 50/55? That will mean there will sit in the arches the same as the oe wheels. The reason wheels will pretude the body with a big spacer/adapter is the wheel offset bein low. I.e wheel has offset of 35mm fit 20mm spacer will now makes the et 15mm

You just to get the ET (offset)correct - what offset did you order the 18" in? 16vt is standard ET30 or ET32 if I remember correctly. No sure about 20VT but someone will confirm for you

so as JohnS says

std 20VT is ET40 or ET42 dependent on alloy.

I would not have 225 on front I would go 245 all round as the car doesn't feel as balanced with different tyre sizes front and back.
I run 245/35R18 tyres on 8x18 ET35 alloys.
Porsche wheels (modern ones not fuchs or cookie cutters) are usually ET50 + unless they are for turbo bodied cars
