I have had the misfortune to buy a bonnet for a friend's car from windowlicker007 on ebay. Not only did it take 10 days to reach me, when it arrived it had been badly damaged in transit. I have tried emailing the guy but so far only one response asking what I wanted him to do... that'll be collect the bonnet and refund please!!! Since then not heard a thing in over a week, doesn't reply to any emails... what a surprise Does anyone here know who/where he is and have a telephone number?

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM WINDOWLICKER007 \:mad\:

Windowlicker is redinstead on here. Also goes my fiatcoupeman and a few other names on ebay.

I fitted a turbo for someone from the ebay account. It smoked its ass off, so much so and i felt so sorry for the owner i didnt charge for fitting.

Should have had this one Flea. Im never as cheap because my items are usually better!

So he's on here as redinstead?!!! Right then, perhaps he'll be kind enough to read this and do something about it.

Yeh the post that links him to the ebay account has gone.

He's chopping that 130k or so red LE bashed on the o/s rear and o/s front. Post has gone though. Disappeared. Amongst others.

It might also explain why he backed out of selling something to stan, and when I asked him if I could collect the turbo from him in person he said it was in Carlisle.

I just don't understand why people are like this?! Before I paid for it I sent an email to confirm delivery and that it was "as described". He got back to me quickly despite being in Cyprus!!! Now there is a problem he has gone all quiet... it's so typical of poor traders \:mad\:

Did you pay through paypal? If so start a dispute, paypal nearly always finds it in favour of the buyer so you would get your money back. Also raise a dispute in ebay. I find that normally helps in kick starting people into actually doing something.

Wow first time I have ever heard of that happening with paypal!

With ebay, go into my ebay, and there should be a dispute console link on the left. Click on that and there should be an option for item not recieved as described, and take it from there.

The mods/admin will have redinsteads contact details or he wouldn't be able to post in the for sale/haggling section.

I think your right, I was watching some items for sale by fiatcoupeman (exhaust manifold for example) it sold and now the same listing is up again with windowlicker, I have emailed him for another item to see if I could collect but no response, got a response from fiatcoupeman which just said "w'haven", which I assume is Whitehaven. Not the most inspiring of replies.

Could be genuine reasons, but I normally dont buy from anyone if they dont reply to a question or if the answer is iffy.

Sorry to hear about your trouble \:\( and hope you get it sorted, ebay is a nightmare when it goes wrong.

Now I bidded on a oil cooler last week, was out bid on it. But I recieved an email from ebay's loss prevention department, to firstly avoid the seller, not to do dealing with them outside of ebay. Weird thing is, the listings disappeared, disappeared out of myebay, and the seller has disappeared also, maybe connected in some way?!

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM WINDOWLICKER007 \:mad\:

The Ebay help pages are all there for you to search... start a dispute and request his contact details, all this can be done via Ebay.

Well done Flea! Its shame people do act like this, we have an excellent community on here and its sad that a few people can cause such problems...
