Well finally got round to fitting (properly) my Air Horns from halfords yesterday, made up a bracket to mount them in the same place as the old rusty ones.

Could of got those direct replacement ones but thought id be different, they are well loud and look alot better than the old ones.

What do you think?

Fiamm

Air

Horns

Whats the whole consensus on air horns as per say... \:D

Nar they sound good sort of Farrari tone to them, i think they should be ok on the MOT my Peugeot 309GTI has them factory fitted and i never had trouble with that through the MOT.

fitted these after both horns died within a week of each other.

can recommend them, as stingray said, sounds quite similar to ferrari air horns.

I think I want a horn that sounds like the second one in that vid - the one at about 5 secs on the vid. Is that what yours sounds like Stingray?

I like them, not bad at all. My originals look a little fragile, they will probably fall apart in my hands if I touch them - another something to do!

Fancy that fog horn though.

since we're on the subject of horns does anyone know why mine would have stopped working? Ive checked the fuse and the horns and they are fine? I cant seem to work out why the horn isnt working and i dont like driving without one as its so dangerous

Stingray, your horns sound very similar to the Fiamms that Fiat fitted as standard to the 124 Sports back in the '70s.

Put a set of those on my X1/9 and was never pulled up by Mr Plod. My response would have been that they were "Fiat factory supplied" as opposed to "Fiat factory fitted"

A nice neat job of fitting and certainly do not look out of place.

Yes Dave. you can push the horn to the side easily' if it comes loose a 10mm spanner is all that is required to nip it up.
