As it's a Ford Probe engine, I actually found it quite enjoyable to view

Hmm... nice and shiny pistons there Begbie.
Good to see you have the essentials by the computer, ipod, memory cards, pistons, pint glass...

Right, not a lot to say, been a bit slack recently, but its time to get things going again. Got an engine stand for xmas, so will be putting that to good use, head is being sent off tomorrow to Guy Croft to be worked on, probably be giving serdi a call this week to get them to bore the block for me, will be collecting my new crank fairly soon and also bought a new set of alloy wheels, which really wasnt necessary, but a bargain price anyway

What are you doing for fueling and mapping m8? From sound of things your spec won't be that different from mine except for the head work you are doing and obviously having 1 cylinder less

Not entirely sure yet Fergie. Im either going to go with my std ECU and get that re-mapped or get a stand-alone version of the same ECU but is fully tweakable and also plug 'n' play with my existing wiring loom, then probably go over to Mark Shead or Ahmed Bajoo to do the mapping for me

Right, finally started to get this rolling again. New engine stand bought for me by the girlfriend has been put to good use and the engine is now on it, although will have to come off again soon to flex-hone it The engine is just about stripped now, just need to remove the balancer shafts (need to purchase an impact gun for it) then i will give Serdi a call to get them to flex-hone the block. Head work should be commencing soon with Guy Croft, will call him this week to discuss what is going to be done and cost (Flowed head, 3 angles valve seats, tripple valve springs for 8000rpm, C&B stage 2 cams, possibly veriner pullies which will accept a 1" belt) New crank has turned up and killed my arms carrying it for about a mile So this will be off soon with flywheel and clutch cover all to be balanced, so hopefully the engine can start to be put back together in april some time. Bits still to get is the turbo, injectors, head gasket, ECU, total seal rings and im sure there is a few bits i have missed off. Engine BottomPeekabooClean SideTopClean other sideNew Crankshaft
