Dare I ask what boost pressure you were running to get that figure? Is this much higher than you plan to run on track?

Forget that question - I've just read the first post on the thread properly!

Don't know any further, we told Mark at Owen D what we wanted, and he had mapped the engine before with the previous (duff) turbo so had an idea of its characteristics

Going to try it out this weekend and if its still together, at Silverstone the following weekend. After that we'll think if this is what we need, would prefer to bring the rev limit down a bit, but will probably need to retime the cams a little further

I'm going to dig out the original "Cyrpus" curve (its over with Auto Integrale) and try and compare what we have

Still think my original engine drove the best (so far), but that one didn't last 50 miles!

Also just a little concerned what else we're going to break with all that power. twin plate clutch is positively brutal as it is, and that's when running only 400bhp

the twin plate shud be fine as your torque is alot lower than a 2.4 engine. barbz ran 500ft/lbs at low rpm and the twin plate he has devloped is fine, just the gear box is next!!! I run a five speed box on mine with approx 400ft/lbs (nitrous) on a single paddle and ive had no dramas yet

Have you some special engine mounts on the kappa?, 560bhp must take some holding down.

Don't worry just a few extra cable ties will do it.

You misunderstand, I'm not so worried about the clutch taking the strain, it will take more than I have - more the rest of the drivetrain. Its VERY on-off, even when changing up at full bore on track. I drive 30+ different cars each year so I know its not down to me, can change gear perfectly smoothly in anything else

Its tied down a lot more solidly than a Coupe to start with - the kappa has a complete square subframe rather than just a single side of it

Plus we have solid mounts
