On Friday, I had someone pull alongside me near some traffic lights in a left hand lane of a dual carriageway (I was on the right) and told me to 'wind my window down'. On doing so, he told me one of my brake lights wasn't working. I told him I knew and he said to get to Halfords as they'd sort it for a fiver
He must have presumed that being female, I couldn't do it myself
I told him the bulb was fine and it was the dodgy Fiat electrics at fault
As the lights turned green, he told me he had to pull in front of me in order to get in the correct lane as he'd only stayed in the wrong lane so he could pull up alongside me to tell me about my brake light
I still can't believe he did that!
On Saturday, near to the road above, I was aware of a white BMW convertible behind me in the left hand lane and then he switched to the right hand lane so he was in his correct lane, but as we were side by side at the traffic lights, he shouted across that my Coupe sounded nice
I said thanks and then he asked what engine was in it, so I told him and he mentioned again how nice my Coupe sounded
I've had a Coupe for 12 years now and get some comments about the car now and again, but never had people purposely staying in a wrong lane to tell me about a dodgy brake light before and don't usually get blokes shouting from their convertible about how nice the car sounds and asking me what engine is in it
Maybe the sunshine is playing havoc with people
