Um.

I'm sure it's very quick, but they've taken a nice open two-seater, and slapped a load of adverts, shopping list, excrescences, assorted tat (and a lid) on it.

I don't think I'll be cashing in my pension for this one.

You could buy 100 MG TFs for that money! (see other thread)

I don’t think €140,000 is too bad a price for a fully-prepped race car. Depends on the race series it ends up eligible for, etc.

I mean, a race-ready Porsche customer car runs nearer €900,000 or so if memory serves. Probably more nowadays.

What would be more relevant to us lot would be to see the on-the-road price of the standard Abarth 124 road car.

So buy a car for 30,000 you have up to 110,000 to make your own ...... seems like a better option to me. But what do I know? laugh

I'm not sure you'd even start with a full car but maybe a chassis or shell

€140k does seem expensive - especially when compared to something that's pretty much "race ready" out of the box like a Radical

Bu99er, just got an invite to drive a "normal" Abarth 124 Spider (not Rally version) one at Silverstone 5-7 August but probably won't be in the UK frown

The Abarth road car was at MITCAR on Sunday :

I was alot more impressed with it than I thought I was going to be and its alot better in the flesh. Sounded great even though they do tend to engineer the noise in these days. Build quality looked to be even more on the up. The Abarth black boot/bonnet appeared to be wrapped to me rather than painted and I didn't like the way they've slapped the Abarth badges on top of the Boot/bonnet as opposed to just vertically on the grille/rear face but thats about all I didn't like thumb (oh....price aside!) The fit and feel of the fabric hood was excellant.
