Option 1: BBC and journalist and NY fire department are part of some conspiracy - a quite unnecessary part because it is nonsensical to give advance warning of something if you know it is going to happen and be reported anyway.

Option 2: journalist gets wrong grasp of feed or correct grasp of wrong feed and reports it.

The good thing about Chilcot is that there hasn't been much by way of "whitewash" claims - that's a fair achievement.

The perfect conspiracy theorists approach. State "facts", get called out (like the made up CIA "fact"), substitute in new "facts". Rinse and repeat.

Absolutely Emjay - but that's exactly what it does show. No-one is calling it a whitewash (that I've seen) just because it's clear.

Getting back on track I think Blair will stand behind his quote that he did what he thought was right at the time till his last breath.

Yes it's very frustrating.

He hides behind it and all it does is make a lot of people hate him more than before.

In a nicer world the likes of him would admit his gross error and admit he felt under pressure to abide with the bigger power or he felt he should save face and look like a strong leader.

I don't see what's to discuss on this? It reports what as known at the time, Blair can't be held responsible. It's a 10 million non event.
