Hi all.
I decided I liked the idea off a quick release steering wheel so set about ordering the necessary items, first on my list was an OMP boss kit designed for the coupe + the steering wheel and the quick release mechanism. off to Maplin for the 2.2 ohm resister.
Once it was fitted the air bag light stayed off and it felt like the steering wheel was miles away from the indicator stalks and there was a bit of play in the wheel and the deep dish wheel was a waste of time. grr
So back to the thinking board and I ordered a flat dish Mountney classic wheel with a adaptor plate to fit the new slim design Quick Release.

I ordered this from China.

And used a wheel centre cap for the horn you can prize the middle bit off the centre cap with a small screwdriver and it fits perfect for the horn.

The photo lighting isn`t great it is in my lock up for winter.
The wheel is much closer to the indicators now and has no play in it.
PS it`s a bugger to get the old wheel off.
