As title suggests. My diet on good days is very good just need to be a little more consistent.

Green tea extract has been mentioned to me to help fat loss/burn but my question is:

Anyone have any experience with green tea extract and recommend me a certain brand etc OR is there anything else out there that is better?

Thanks

Well exercise is great for your health, but is you want to loose weight eating less is key. It will take 6hrs of decent exercise to loose 1lb. Skip beer is arguably easier as is reducing intake. Trouble is that is the hard bit!

Save your money technics and look at adjusting your diet/exercise instead, as said above, but less sarcastically laugh

Green tea, green coffee, Acai Berry, Raspberry Ketones, etc., etc., are all supposed to be 'fat burners', but none of them work and you'll be better at looking how you can change your diet and/or increase your exercise instead.

I'm an expert at trying all these 'new' fat burners in the hope of a miracle rolleyes laugh

The miracle isn't going to happen until I stop drinking alcohol and eating fatty foods though I'm afraid laugh

Eat less, move about more. It's shame, but there are no shortcuts.

Watch "fat, sick and nearly dead" and "food matters" on Netflix
I'm just starting a new regime now, starting to add in the green stuff so I can slow up and the bad stuff.
I've tried fat burners before, spending ££££££ on them. In the end it took hard work and eating right to make a difference to me.
Then I ate pies again and stopped running.
So here I am back at the beginning. Ho hum.

My girlfriend drinks green tea, I've tried it and it tastes like something that shouldn't be in your mouth.

5:2 or 4:3 diet. You can still drink beer on the days you don't restrict your calories intake.

I worked out (or rather - I avoided working out) that reducing calories by 3000 per week (1500 over two days) was the equivilent of 3-4 hours swimming per week.

Obviously doing both would be better.

I did the 5:2 in 2013 and lost a stone over 3 months. It had it's downsides though, as I suffered from 3 or 4 migraines in that time.

I also found that when I started having carbs on fast days, it would trigger cravings and I'd find it hard to stay below 600 calories.

Now I avoid eating sugar and unhealthy carbs, and am on a 500 calorie deficit. I slowly cut out bread, pasta etc too and feel a lot better overall, don't have cravings and am less tired. My diet is mostly fat/protein with the only carbs coming from vegetables (mostly greens).

You need fat and protein in your diet. You don't need carbs smile

5:2 worked for me too lost around 1 stone - then went on holiday and then came Christmas yada yada yada and I've put about a stone back on! Am starting the 5:2 again this week smile and Daniel carbs are an important part of your diet, they just got a bad press lately.

And beer, I agree with T you need beer in your diet (though no drinking on school nights on this 5:2) (well not all school nights laugh )

We don't need carbs? rolleyes

I'm sorry Daniel but that is complete and utter tosh.

I really can't be bothered to put my dietician hat on and explain that in a healthy balanced diet we need carbs.

Please get your facts correct before you tell any more whoppers.

You are Dr Atkins, I claim my fiver.

I was referring to when losing weight, you don't need carbs in your diet aside from the small amount you get from eating greens and berries for example.

But then it depends on which diet you follow and what works for you.
