As far as I am aware there are no multi car policies here in France, but I could be wrong. My insurance is similar to the UK cost. Maybe slightly cheaper so you should be fine. The registration is easy for classic cars too. The only issue is if the car is not homologated. These will be very difficult / impossible to register. This is the case for the odd Lotus, some TVR's and all kit cars. Other than that you should be fine.

For anyone who is currently interested in importing a Fiat into France you may be interested to hear that you can get the Certificate of Conformity by applying online now. The web address is homologation.fiat.fr
It was dead easy, pay online 165 Euro, complete, sign scan and return for with reference number and copy of old V5 and they claim to get it back to me within 10 working days.
I'll soon be back in the Coupe :-)
