A few weeks ago my 98 20VT that I've had for 15 years was written off by a lunatic in an 18 wheeler. Particularly painful as earlier this year I had the cambelt done, new Bilsteins all round, new springs, all hoses replaced, full respray and the wheels refurbed. It only ever let me down once in 61,000 miles and that was the YCOD so an easy fix. I loved that car.

On the plus side it held up well, the airbags worked and I walked away without a scratch. Currently replaced with an 09 Clio RS200 which is almost the opposite of the Coupe - feels like no grunt whatsoever but handles brilliantly. Got a feeling I'll be getting another Coupe at some point though!

I never posted much on here but gained masses of useful info and tips so a big thanks to all and to Roger who looked after it for years.

Shame to see that and it is the first time I have heard of airbags actually working so must have been quite an impact. Glad you are OK. Sounds like someone will be able to get some good parts from yours.

Crickey, that looked a big accident! Very glad you are all ok.
Hope you get a fair insurance payout and find another to continue the journey.

Wait is he getting a payout high enough to buy a other coupe?
Here in Belgium even if a 18 wheeler sideswiped me I d be getting catalogue price back from my insurance and we all
know how must that would be.

I got £1650 after much bargaining. After having dropped 4 grand on it this year it brings a tear to the eye.

Hope you find a replacement for the Scotts Green Coop. 15 years ownership - that's devastating.
