This car is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.To me this car is not worth much because me personally would not like to own such a highly modified coupe but on the other hand the car is worth 12k to someone who is power hungry.I would rather have a mint standard car

Yeah, that's why all big bhp cars are worthless Get yourself on PH Carpool or you know you want to - there are plenty of people out there who want exactly what you're selling. EBay is not the right place for a car like yours. Good luck!!

Sorry to ask and tell me to mind me own, but why are you selling? If I had the money, I'd take it tomorrow. Certainly a one off. Good luck with the sale

Don't rush the sale. I've seen customers spend thousands then give it away a year later. I understand circumstances change but at some point there will be a keen buyer wanting to buy something off the shelf instead of spending money building. Your car has more power than most 200k supercars so my advice would be to enjoy your creation as its not worth letting it go for 5-7k. Regardless of what it owes you, there's nothing you could buy that would do even half the job. And you can't sell it until we've been side by side down Santa pod especially with my latest modifications

As for Santa Pod, that would be a good laugh. If it doesn't sell soon though I think I owe it to myself to join the Spa trip

Now, this is just a guess and I'm not making a personal comment or judgment, but I think that the "yawn" may be referring to the challenge from JBT, to see who has the biggest todger under their bonnet.

Its one of two persistent followers of mine whom down the years have tried to get a rise from me. Didn't work this time haha As for todger size women have always told me its what you do with it that counts. And regardless of power I take enjoyment out of competition so looking forward to it ,but same as the last time I went,no videos or times will be hosted on here due to it being a constant argument.

And really, what's the point of modding if you don't somehow use/compare/enjoy the results? People can "yawn" all they like, but each to their own - i'd yawn if i'd only ever owned a standard coupe

That's my point Proccy, when I wrote "explain"?? The thing is, he doesn't own a standard coop, it's modded to 303bhp according to sig?? So why yawn?? A thread about JBT & DLT going head to head on 1/4 mile or track would be the most interesting thing this forum had seen for a while!! Must be jealousy??!! DIV!! Nick

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently having read through this thread and the discussion thread (maybe this should be there?), I asked myself why I would rather spend twice as much on my own car than on this car. Here are the reasons that would put me off if I was in the market for a high power Coupé.
Colour – Sorry, but I plain old don’t like Portofino Blue. That’s largely irrelevant really but it matters to me! Aquamist water / methanol injection – ditch it. To my mind, it’s ‘borrowed’ power. Maybe it’s entirely safe, reliable and all that, but I wouldn’t want it on my car so I can certainly see why others wouldn’t too. Good old fashioned petrol and air for me thanks.
Put standard rear lights and headlights on it. The current items make it look ‘got at’ to me. It looks a little washed out, changed for the sake of change without really improving the looks. With standard lights, it would have a real ‘sleeper’ quality, especially given the standard wheels. The centre console doesn’t help either - though it’d be a simple fix to replace it with a standard one, I wouldn’t want to have to, having just bought a new car.
Stop using the 622bhp headline figure. Coupled with the above Aquamist water / methanol injection, this E85 helped figure means nothing to me. I’d remove that system above and then have it mapped on pump fuel with 3 new settings. That is the true figure that matters to me, and I suspect it’d be nearer 500bhp.
I would love to see you sell it on for this money though. It certainly is worth it but, for me, the above would put me off, if I were looking for a modified Coupé.

I know comments are not permitted on for sale threads but in response to trappy and in the spirit of helping DLT sell the car. I agree with some of trappys points but disagree with others. For me the headlights and tail lights ate a major offput. I personally prefer standard ones by a long shot. As for the colour...i love porto its different and not something you see often. I also feel the water injection kn a car of this spec is a worthwhile addition. After all it is only used in the high boost and adds some protection to the engine. The E85 figure could be read as somewhat misleading die to not being widelt available in this country. On that note it is mapped for pump gas and you have highlighted those fogures also. If i had the money i would be very interested in this car! Saying that, i would be buying it! As said there are features i do not like cosmetically but easily changed. If you did consider standard lights DLT i am not far from you and can help you with them. Hope it sells for a fair price for you! Otherwise if you keep dropping the price im going to end up buying it!

Are people REALLY put off buying a proven 500+ bhp (regardless of what juice it is run on) car by a set of £25 rear lights and some minor cosmetic choices?
Coupes in this power bracket are feats of mechanical engineering and the costs of building such a car are rarely half recovered in the sale, sadly.
Whoever buys this will be saving themselves an arm and a leg were they to decide to modify their own car to this spec.

I hope mods remove this if it isn't approprate, but DLT did ask for suggestions here... Are people REALLY put off buying a proven 500+ bhp (regardless of what juice it is run on) car by a set of £25 rear lights and some minor cosmetic choices?
What I'm saying, is that for a cost of '£25', you could make this car a lot more saleable, in my opinion. Sometimes a subtle change in the appearance of an item can make a huge difference to your perspective. Sure, we can all look at this and see that it'd be a simple, cheap 'fix', but potential buyers may not. Coupes in this power bracket are feats of mechanical engineering and the costs of building such a car are rarely half recovered in the sale, sadly.
Whoever buys this will be saving themselves an arm and a leg were they to decide to modify their own car to this spec.
I agree. My point is that feats of engineering like this are worth a lot of money to anyone. Personal styling modifications that move a car away from standard, are not worth as much to as many people. If I were serious about selling at this price also, I'd add some costs to the work done. I nearly bought Akeme's (and then Luke's) car YEARS ago after totting up the costs of the modifications and seeing that it 'made sense' rather than modifying my own to that spec. I still think methanol / water sounds a bit 'max power' though

Myself am certainly not 'put off' by them as i would buy it if i could afford it. Just stating that they imo spoil the look of the car and as trappy said. Would make it more appealing without them.
