Random post of the day, anyone use these? If not then look away!
I've been writing some Java which is set up as a project in Eclipse and I would like to be able to synchronise with my gitHub. This is because I want to be able to push my local project to gitHub and then pull it to whichever of 3 computers I fancy working on it from at the time.
Google seems to be failing me on how to do this. My project is set up fine locally, I can upload files one by one to gitHub but I can't for the life of me work out how to synchronise properly from remote to local and vice versa. Google justs seems to point me at guides that bear no resemblance to the menu options available to me in either Eclipse (I have Kepler and Luna) or my gitHub page.

Well to be fair, it is rather a niche subject matter. Still, I'd rather ask you friendly lot than face the rather patronising replies that would undoubtedly emanate from a forum more focussed on this subject.
Thanks for at least reading it though..
At least we all have coops....ooooh hang on....

Learning Java was never top of my things to do list either but the little ones have got sucked into the world of Minecraft leading me to be required to learn it as that's what the plugins are written in.
I have liked using Eclipse so far as it seemed very intuitive and every error that has been chucked back at me has been done so with enough of a description to make fixing it a quick Google. That suits my rather experiential approach to learning Java as I've just dived in without bothering learning any of that class/method/constructor palaver.
Git synchronisation however has me stumped for what should be a rather basic thing to do.

This helped. I now has some code on t'internet, unfortunately it wiped the readme that I'd manually made previously but it did work. The key thing that I'd missed was that it needs a local repository (in addition to the the local project files) that you must synchronise with first before pushing to the remote (gitHub) one. I too have a feeling that what I've got done tonight will be soon forgotten.
