On my last coupe I had aluminium (I think) surrounds for the rear lights, which I quite liked. They were already on the car when I bought it. I've been trying to find where you would get them from but having no joy at all but could be that I'm not typing in the right search terms. Anybody care to point me in the right direction please?

No - these are aluminium trims that attach to the light units themselves - nothing to do with the standard painted light cups

Yes I think they really help make the lights stand out. Sometimes to me they just look a bit.. sunken. Which sounds stupid as that's the whole point, but you know what I mean!

If anyone knows a place they can be bought from I'd really be grateful for a nudge in the right direction

Modifiers have started fitting these silver rings around the lamps - these are available from European based tuning companies, and also from eBay. Personally I think that they add a degree of class! - found on a rover forum re fitting Fiat Coupe tail lights to.... er....Rovers.
I found some for Ferrari 365 etc but none yet for Fiat.

I am always watching for these as I had one fall off and I can confirm these as very rare.

Nigel kindly helped me out but his were not identical. I prefer that fatter ring in Nismo's photo which was from the first GB I think, many many moons ago

I'm positive there is a German site that sells these.

I bought a pair but never really got on and flogged them a couple of years ago.

Someone had a set painted black. Always thought that was a good look.

A while ago some fccuk er enquired about Koenigseg CCX rear rings direct and was politely told no... I'd have a pair of them! (Subject to them fitting!)

Sounds like these are begging for a group buy, not that i'm offering to set one up, i couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery
