My leccy blue car had about 10 car park dings and a handful of other minor dents and scratches, but still looked somewhat presentable. However that itch to respray her and get her looking her best kept persisting over the last couple of years, but I held off as we often do when the wallet must dictate the heart.
Cue to two months ago when some buffoon decided to paint his wall right next to where my car was parked, resulting in the nearside getting peppered with thousands of pinhead-sized white droplets of paint (which though removable with effort, was deemed by me not to be really worth it due to amount of work and droplets involved).
This inched me closer to the edge... and then on Monday night my brother (bless his soul) came home with a cleft bonnet lip due to some unintended foreplay with a column in an underground car park.
This was the last straw.
Just sent her in today to get a full facelift, and since I'm going through the effort, I'm updating the colour to a shade used by Lamborghini called Monterey Blue (or Blu Nethus), which is a complex triple-coat jobbie.
It looks a little something like this:

Still early days yet, but I am already excited, hence the post here
. Will take the occasional picture and post it up. The guy tells me it will take him 3-4 weeks to complete.
