hello my coupe seems to be hitting the bump stops over pot holes or speed bumps unless im doing 5-10mph iv changed everything on my coupes suspension except for the springs 5 months ago and i know my shocks are fine .

i don't want to lower the car as i think its low as it is lol iv even switched back to the stranded alloys with 55 tiers to see if it improves but no luck yet

what would be the best upgrade ?

How fast would you normally drive over speed bumps and potholes?

Unfortunately, you probably are bottoming out. 5-10 mph is top speed for a lowered car over a speed bump IMO.

You may be able to gain some improvement by fitting new springs, but it depends how much lower than standard your car is, how old the springs are, and what quality/state the dampers are in.

Depends on the speed bumps too. There are some particularly vicious ones around here that I wouldn't go over in my van.

my car is not lowered at all if it was i could understand and the springs are as far as i can see the originals and the dampers are 5 months old

would stiffer springs help or go for an upgrade?

Were they brand new dampers? I would be looking at them first if I had a standard ride height car that was bottoming out easily but 5-10mph over speed bumps is probably way too fast for the standard suspension.

Uprated springs won't really help you, if you're hitting the bump stops on standard springs then you'll definitely hit them on lowered springs!

When you say you've changed everything does that include the top mounts and bearings?

Very strange, sounds like the damperner isn't working if it's bottoming out.

Have you cut the bumpstops?
