I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

When I saw the title, I first thought it was on the M5 motorway somewhere.

I like the fact that it is a testiment to the strength of the car that no one was killed. Well yes, this and a lot of modern cars are more resilinet in a a crash but the most important factor is that he did not hit anything square on and so did not come to an abrupt stop.

Still think the damage could be buffed out with a bit of tea cut.

Looks like the BMW M5 was having a comparison with an M3 and M6. I'm guessing the M5 was winning if he was in front!

More a comment on the fact that the car is designed to bend, not that it's strong. As you say, this was a slow crash with lots of time to dissipate the kinetic energy and lots of panels to absorb it.

I love the mention of the innocent person joining the motorway, He was 'oblivious'that the M5 was flat out @ 180+ mph... Im sure he was around 30 miles away when he was joining that stretch!

How can we give any sympathy to 3 BMW's racing and doing those speeds.? 130,140, is one thing but 186??

I have *no* sympathy. The onus is on the driver to be able to control his vehicle in the current situation. Being in the inside lane at that speed, approaching a junction, is just stupid.

I don't know the junction in question, but there's a motorway junction just north of the border which is typical: German motorways tend to have a parallel sliproad which merges in short order and from which it's not always easy to see any distance behind. If the joining vehicle was doing sixty then the BMW would have been perhaps half a mile (and fifteen seconds) behind when he started to pull out... invisible to the joining driver in all likelihood.

Unless he was belted in (probably not) the dog surviving is the highest testament to the Beemer's survivability.

I bet it'll be difficult to get it in a motor again..

Or that the driver of the M3 and 6 weren't prepared to take such ridiculous risks on a public road.
