the car has an oil leak,a bad drip. Within 10 mins of parking, there would be oil on the ground. Ive noticed the cambelt had oil on it. Where do you think this could be coming from? Ive taken it to a garage near me and he seems to think the cam seal? Ive changed the roker cover + 0 rings with a spare rocker cover i had but unsure if it made a difference. Where else do yous think its drippin from? (its drippin on that bottom mount) Should i just check the rocker cover gasket again?
Oh,last month when i had a fiddle with it (when checking coil packs) each hole was full of oil confused

*car is of the rd but but thinking of gettin it rd worthy if a cheap fix is possible. If not it can stay there for some more months.
**Just curious about it thats all

is it a 20v coupe engine? I had the same thing on my neighbours coupe... oil was leaking and it looked like it was in the cambelt region. It was infact the rocker cover gasket, even though we changed it for a new one. Take the rocker cover off. clean the surface (on the head) where the gasket sits. Use gasket silicon and secure the gasket to the rocker cover, then put a small beat of silicon around where the rocker cover sits near the cam belt, Its usually the bottom left hand corner where it leaks.

Secure the rocker cover and leave it to try for a day and then test...

Yeah its the 20v mate. and yeah thats pretty much where its coming from, bottom left area onto that big mount. When this guy said camseal,my mouth frown So it was either spend £££'s on it being fixed or buy the coop,.so bought a coop. (obviously i gota spend £ on the coop now lol)

Gasket silicon seal? ill try that then as i think i got some knocking about,Cheers

*kinda miss the noise that made lol

Yeh its leaks in the bottom left, runs either down the back of the water rail or down the gap in the rocker cover where the belts are. This stuff should sort it.

something like this

Think halfords do one, just make sure its for high temp and you will be ok smile

+1 for the Granville instant gasket.

Been using it on my motorbike engine casings for years with no ill effects.

Just to state the blatantly obvious, remember when going round bolt holes to apply the bead on the inner edge, not the outer.

Learned from my mistake, once ran a bike dry in under 20 miles. silly
