Dave, I did a lot of reading of 'what suspension' threads but learned that everyone has an opinion of the ride quality of eibachs. Where one person said the ride quality was firm but not crashy, another one was saying they're too hard. I've tried them and they're not for me. (This has been moved to the handling section anyway, so is just another ' what suspension' thread
). If I had gone out in a coop with a bilstein/eibach setup, I know I would have thought no way am I putting those on my car
Personally I prefer a smoother ride hence going back to standard. I'd like to try bisteins and standard springs but because i've not got the skills/tools to do it myself, i'd paying a garage to fit them.
I'm just not prepared to pay a garage to replace the eibach springs and leave the bilsteins to potentially find that the ride isn't as smooth as i'd like, to have to go back there with standard shocks and pay out more money. I'm just going to go back straight to standard.
If I was happy on my old knackered standard suspension, then a new set will be amazing, especially as I can't stand the rattling and creaking of the interior which is 100X worse on a bad road if you've got Bilsteins/Eibachs on.
