When I've used ones on trips away, the novelty has work off very quickly.
A key thing I would say with bathrooms (having just spent a vast amount of money on one) is trying to limit the number of things that can go wrong - or ensure accessibility. To me it's just one more unnecessary thing to maintain/go kaput. Took long enough to find a bath that was comfortable to lie in/sit in - without all the fripperies!
Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing? (John 7:51)

My outlaws have one; this worked brilliantly to encourage my children to have a bath a few years ago when visiting, and encouraged them to have an early night (so the oldies could get stuck into the bottles downstairs). It doesn't quite have the same effect now they are 17 and 15 . A nice gimmick, but the novelty DOES wear off. Cheaper and more reliable to have a Vindaloo and baked beans....
