2000mph!!!

That actually looks like an artists impression of how Wellformeds coop may have evolved. Do you know whether that 2000 mph was achieved in third gear by any chance

Air passing over the top of the wheel would be going 4000mph! that's over mach 5

I must admit I'd be more impressed if the record required the vehicle to be powered by surface contact through the wheels, rather than allowing a bloody great jet engine to poke out of the back.

It isn't really a vehicle of any sort. Is this thing to have a human pilot ? Where, how and (most of all) WHY?
