Why is it when the Coupe is running well it decides to dislike you again?

Since I've owned my latest Sprinty I've done nothing but service it, love it and sort a few issues namely:

- Remove the ghastly rear spoiler
- Full polish, wax, wash, touch-up etc.
- New wheels and tyres
- New rocker cover gasket
- Fresh oil change to 10w 60 Mobil One
- New manifold gasket, 2 front shocks and a TRE
- Health check
- New (accurate) boost gauge (Autometer recommended by Rog)

With all this in mind the car's been running and driving beautifully but now the next series of niggles has begun.

Cold start I'm getting a nice dab of blue smoke if left on idle for more than a minute and for some unknown reason my exhaust manifold is, once again, blowing which baffles the mind as I've only just had that sorted.

Not to mention I need to sort my engine mount bushes as I get a loud knock when accelerating.

Grrr....Oh well, new turbo, another trip to PowerItalia and some new engine mount bushes "should" sort her.

Hmm that wasn't really a rant but still I had to get it off my chest lol.

I wouldnt worry mate, all shall be sorted soon, ill take a look at the manifold to see whats going on there when we do the mount.

Just give it another wax and it might just fix itself.

New Aircon compressor
New aircon condenser and pipe
New disks and pads

Lets just put it this way, the bulb holder arrived but it didn't come with any cables! Bloody cheek for £20 odd quid! Don't ask how much that pollen filter was and you know you need to get Ruben to take of the centre console and fiddle about with some bits there.

Agreed about the bacon bagel! I was not impressed!! I will have words and try and get us a free one, although I won't tell you that so you will still love me for always feeding you when I come over.

I'm looking forward to your new mobile mechanic service now that we will be neighbours..... ;-)

I seriously believe it's better the devil you know. I've had my car for 4 years now and I have changed a large number of the mechanical parts and she's on 123k now.

I have often thought about changing it for a Plus / LE with lower miles, but the thought of doing all the work I've done on mine again makes me realise I know my car inside out! If you're interested my list is here. Since March a fair few things have moved from the to do, onto the completed, eg paintwork.

Ah I'll just keep fixing it till it stops breaking, I won't give up on this one unless it goes absolutely sha-bang! haha
