So here's my list.
Standard turbo (360 bearings etc)
K and n cone
Gtec 1
Fuel pump mod
Decat full stainless pipe,

Now what happens if you throw a turbo revs cooler into the mix? Obviously price is the only reason why I'm thinking of that one.

And is the noise difference worth the power when you de cat, car will only have 1 small rear baffler

With the tb28 on hybrid bearings etc (not R or RS) is it still only efficient to 1.2 bar. I assume so.

So power figures please? Or thoughts? Thanks

Don't have a decat (a 200 mesh race cat instead) but my Scottie is running 271bhp and even better 278lb/ft torque with the rest of the kit you have. Quite quick enough for me and pulls really well, although it was fun seeing the monsters at Donington at the weekend ooo .

What exhaust do you have? And any idea what variance there is power wise between systems?

For the power your running and the mods you have, if you don't plan to go beyond 290bph, get pace SMIC.

A FMIC on your tubro/setup will be laggier and overkill.

Apart from the fact that any aftermarket FMIC that i've fitted has always been woeful at providing any improvement in cooling. I haven't fitted pro-alloy, but have tried various other.

You've answered your own question there....

ProAlloy has been proven to be by far the best FMIC solution for the Coupe, although this is reflected in the cost

Pro alloy IS the best. No question. And they reduce intake temps FAR FAR better than any SMIC.

I was acknowledging that the Pro Alloy was a good one to consider in my head, but re-reading the post, it doesn't come across that way. lol

Also it reads like I never had a FMIC fitted, but I had EVO 6 fitted to my coupe.

the evo 6 is one which barbz speaks highly of, is the pace SMIC ok all the way up to 290bhp without the chargecooler

I've got the evo6 on mine and never had a problem with it. The pro alloy unnecessarily expensive imo.

No it isn't ?

A charge cooler uses water to cool the air (or remove the heat from it). An intercooler uses air.

bollocks its called a charge cooler beacause the inlet air is a charge in its own right< and its going through a cooler,. air to air cooler is what we are talking about anyway, and your thinking about stars or something

zimpara, a chargecooler uses a water cooled core through which the air passes through, cooling it as it does, the water in the chargecooler core is cooled through a radiator mounted at the front which circulates the water round the chargecooler core so taffy is right in that it is essentially water that is cooling the charge air

also no intercooler is going to give you 30bhp when run in conjunction with a standard turbo

hi joe. as im sure you heard my voice mail today screaming at that engine mount> no i havent. its just my understanding that intercooler chargecooler and after cooler are the same things - minus the fact that you have air to air and air to liquid? can you set me straight.

Charge coolers not an aqua mist pal. Basically a heat exchanger containing water fitted within the pipework to cool down the charge air as it travels past the heat exchanger...water is pumped through that heat exchanger from its own reservoir so shouldn't have to fill the reservoir..where as the aqua mists sprays water onto the inter cooler itself to cool down. thats as i understand it..

Big tuning guide at the top i think mate

Yes - cars have disk brakes and heaters now you know

laugh

Only joking, I didn't know what a charge cooler was either until I saw one on the patch mobile.

Standard turbo (360 bearings etc)
K and n cone
Gtec 1
Fuel pump mod
Decat full stainless pipe

From this list :

change the cone filter for a panel filter-better supply of cool air and quieter
gtec 1 for a flea map-safer and more power
fuel pump mod-cheap but is it needed?
decat-you'll need a cat for an mot
