Earlier this year I ordered some 6000k HIDs to replace the 10,000k originals (which I really didn't like), although I originally wanted some 5000k's, they were out of stock so ended up going for the 6000k's which I found a lot better.

They were much better than the 10,000k's for light output (photos) although driving at night recently, I thought the light output was still too blue for my liking so had a look on HIDS4U and they had the 5k bulbs in stock so ordered them and got around to installing today.

Normally when driving around in the 6000k's, you can see the blue outer tinge on motorway signs very clearly. I couldn't see any blue tinge with the 5000k's.

I'll keep the 6000k bulbs as as backup but think I will stick with the 5000k's, looking at the headlights themselves they don't look as 'cool'/modified as the 6000k's but the light output looks to be stronger and being closer to crystal white is easier on the eyes whilst driving as I found that the blue tinge of the 6k bulbs more tiring..

A couple of photos of the 5000k bulbs

Yep, they're good. I went for the 5000K's from HIDS4U and I've not regretted it.

What are you using in the fogs as thats quite a good match?

I have the factory 4300k in an Audi and 6000k in the coupe, and I think the 5000k is a good compromise between the two.

If you're referring to the top photo then the Fog lights aren't on (it's just the photo making it look like they're on).

Unless you mean the sidelights ?? In that case, then i'm using these LED sidelights.

The LED sidelights were a great match with the 6000k HIDs but they don't look as powerful with the 5000k HIDs, I guess because the light output is greater in the 5000k.

the LED sidelights are 1.5W and i've just noticed they do have a 2W version for sale lick
