how much

Hi all bought my 3rd coupe about 3 months ago black on a v plate. she drove perfect up until the point the engine started making loads of noise. asked for advice on here and it looks like the big end has gone or its started knocking

my problem is i just cant afford to fix and just dont have the time, as work every weekend.

she is black and ran perfect before this, bar pressure running at max, turbo coming in when should and still does. black leather, wheels are are abit shabby , has the mondena bumper but 2 cracks in it. aprt from that is a sexy motor. took a while to source it

any way basicallly thinking of selling as is, any ideas what id get for it ???

you need to ask the mods nicely and then you can list it with some pics. make sure you put as much info on as possible, more history is always better.

indeed but its often a case of £1500 now in your hand or shelling out £1000 to get it replaced and not getting your money back. Not the best of times to be fixing up a car as you will never cover the money you shell out.

Better to let someone else do it smile

Think it'd be towards the lower end of that range, if indeed that much. Coop prices rock bottom right now, seen some nice cars sell for £1500 (including the immaculate sprinty I had a few months ago), so given the possible need for a new engine, could be looking at hundreds if no other nice bits or mods.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr your killing me !! just was saying to the girlfriend how sad i will be to see it go.had 2 16vt before this and always wanted one. my first 16 was immaculate but the exwife kept it after devorce then wrote it off. the second one the engine went. dreamt of a 20vt for years then when i get one the engine goes but i just cant seem to source a good engine or find anywhere local to do it and most of all cash problems at the minute. Think will see what offers i can get and let that decide

the coupe market is verry slow at the min & i would say you will be lucky if you get close to a £1000 at the min , i have been selling a 99 coupe with a knocking engine for over a month in excellent condition on here & pistonheads for £550 with verry little interest so now im waiting on an engine so i can put it back on road.....

Its only worth £500 at best

A good low milage coop goes for £1500 these days

look on e-bay /pistonheads

you can get a runner for £700

I have just bought one and very pleased with it but studied the market for ages and the prices are pretty depressed (thats why I bought one )
