Although this will mainly be an Alfa Romeo meeting, other Italian cars are able to attend for what looks like a good day out

I have confirmed our attendance on the AO forum, so now want to see some names on my list

The idea is to have at least 100 Alfas in attendance (this will also include other Italian marques as a full celebration of Italian cars).

The start/meet point will be near Chester at the Holiday Inn, heading off from there onto the A55 to Bangor (services just off the A55). Then mooch to Llanberis & up the Pen y pass beneath Snowdon. Onto Capel Curig into Betws y Coed (this route may change). Stop at the Swallow Falls Hotel for lunch then along the A5 up to the Triangle. Owners can then drive a few circuits of it with picture opportunities etc along the way.

As a rough timetable:

Meet at 10am - allow everyone to assemble etc. Then head off about 11am. Bangor/Llanberis by 12.30pm.

Betws y Coed for lunch by 1.30pm. up to the Triangle for 3pm. Finish & head home 5.30pm

That route should take in some exceptional scenery. The first part of the route is a bit of boring dual carriageway, but the idea of the route is that you are working your way back through great scenery and great roads.

For anyone looking at this thread - I know those roads well, and it is well worth traveling a bit to go and drive them.

right on my doorstep but doubt i will have the coupe then!!

I'm sure one of the others or I wouldn't mind you being a passenger though Dave, if you wanted to come along.

I'm up for this, will be a nice opportunity to meet some other members... Although I'll try to get along to an event before this too of course. Any objections to my dad tagging along in an '07 Impreza WRX? If it needs to stay strictly Italian then he can be my cameraman for the day.

I've got no objections to your Dad tagging along, although, as it's supposed to be an Italian car day, there could be objections from the Alfa owners, especially as it's them that's organising it.

Hi Theresa, I really want to come to this, it will be my first meet woohoo!!!

Having some work done to my car before the date but hopefully all will be well for me to attend.

Does anyone know if there will be some kind of convoy leaving from the mids area as I see a few of the guys going are from this way, like 'porkypaul' and 'proccy'???
