The most important thing here is that we have someone to blame if it turns out to be rubbish. ;)

Good work Bob; I shall owe you a beer or three for the many hours I know you've put into sorting this out.

It has not been easy, I just hope the place is ok. It is never easy trying to book a place when you can't pop along and check it out. Peter and me nearly did pop over to have a look, thankfully common sense got the better of us.

It does look like Friday night will be party night in Spa cool

Kayjey said he was going to see if he could track down an Italian restaurant smile

It looks very good Bob. Do you know if they speak good english as i'll have to try and sort out a family room for me stuart and george. It looks like they have a few options. Price is very good considering how busy it will be.

Do you know if it is payment up front or just a deposit and payment on departure Bob??

Nancy Vertommen speaks very good English Marco.

It is just payment on departure.

Give them your name, address, phone number and card details although you won't be charged until departure.

Edited by petep (09/02/2010 10:42)
Edit Reason: they would like card details too.

If you go in a Swedish car you will not be allowed into the central event by the organisers.

Parking is outside the paddock for non Italian cars.

We now have a complete timetable of the weekend events.

The time table for the weekend.

The club is willing to book any additional sessions which you would like to take part in beyond the weekend entry and the two Coupe Club track sessions.

Edit. As the forum software appears to unformat Word documents,I have had to remove the information sheet which asks for your details and requirements, so I will try and get it sorted out this weekend.

In the meantime, if anyone wants to PM me with their email address, I will send them a copy.

Yes, access to the coupe area is not a problem, but it would be easier for me if he got his spectator ticket directly from the organisers website. He can pay with a UK credit card.
I really only have time to collate and send out tickets for those taking their cars.

Couple of questions...

Without wanting to sound stupid but when the track is 'open' (just looked at the schedule) what does that actually mean? Can anyone just drive out on the track?

Grande Parade: is this anyone and anything at a slow pace?

Also what times are the ferry crossings people are using? There are so many pages to this thread now, I'm struggling to find the info! :)

Oh and finally, what sessions require a crash helmet?

From the link to their website:

Quote:
The Parade Alfa Romeo
On Sunday afternoon, the Alfa Romeo’s will invade the track of Spa Francorchamps to establish a crowd’s record which will not be ready to be beaten!

The Grande Parade.
Enjoy unforgettable moments driving your car on the world’s most beautiful racetrack ! For a one-hour session the track will be yours ! Be sure to book as soon as possible : don’t miss your chance !

First run in Ferrari.
For guaranteed strong emotions what better than discovering this beautiful racetrack in a Ferrari racing car !An unforgettable memory !

The Scuderia.
Sports car owners will have the unique opportunity of driving freely on the Formula 1 track. What a great feeling ! (Warning: mandatory helmet - no children, participants must be over 16)

A rally «balade»
On Saturday afternoon, a rally "balade" will offer the opportunity of discovering the wonderful region of Spa. The start is scheduled at 2:00 pm from the paddocks.

The Concours d’ Elegance
It is the tradition to reward the most beautiful, the most original and the nicest car in SpaItalia ! Troffee and champagne will greet what the jury will have retained as the most remarkable of this year.

The open sessions are the Scuderia referred to above, you can drive high performance cars only.

The Grande Parade is behind a pace car, the speed limit is 130 kph, the track is a long oneand many people drop back from the pace car for a while.

Many people are going out on the 8am Norfolk Lines ferry from Dover to Dunkirk on Friday and returning on the 20:01 on Sunday evening.

Crash hats are required on the coupe and open track sessions.

Have a trawl through the SpaItalia website to find out more.

Ta muchly.

What are most people opting for? Obviously the 2 track sessions, but are any fellow coopers signing up for a Grande Parade?

Was thinking I may sign up to one of the more sedate runs as well, but don't necessarily want to be the only coop running round the course :)

Just booked the ferry today. Norfolk lines from Dover. Nice and late start for me (comparatively) seeing as I live 7 miles away from the port :)

Have a look in the registration section of the website.

Grande parade session for Saturday 19th x 60 € per car
Grande parade session for Sunday 20th x 60 € per car

“First Run” in Ferrari on Saturday 19th x 150 € per run

As I said above, PM me with your email address for the sheet with all the details on it.

Once the formatting problems with it have been resolved it will be put up here.

Hi Pete

Apols for the Numpty questions.

Are we automatically registered for the Coupe 17.00 Saturday and 10.00 Sunday runs?

Can we hire crash hats there or do we have to take our own?

Cheers

Dave
