Hope some of you can attend, it is a great day out, some serious machines in attendance and plenty of hot hatches, mine, a couple of 400bhp Astra VXR's, Golf GTi ED30's, Focus RS MK1 (2 x 400bhp) etc and I posted here because I know there are some tasty 20VT motors on here!

Can I say, if you think your gonna be able to go, then you need to phone and give your details so at least you'll have clearance, then you could pay at a later date if there is room!

Is anyone going/gone to this today? My brother-in-law has gone with his boss who has a mental Impreza. Was hoping he'll see some Coupes do well as he doesn't rate them much!

I don't think they did as my relative that went didn't see any Coupes. They were also doing top speed runs I think too.

I reckon Leighton and I would have been midfield (circa 15 seconds?), but we'd have raised a few eyebrows for a FWD car

It would be quicker than that Nigel, looking at my previous airfield runs I have done an indicated 30-145mph in 12 seconds so I would expect that to be fairly close to the mark.

That would REALLY have raised a few eyebrows, although its miles away from the fast boys - last year, the fastest EVO was doing it in less than SEVEN seconds

Yup, this year the quickest was under 6 secs!

We could only manage to get the top speed this year, but if our VIII had been ready....

If you were half way down the strip and someone flagged you down, would you not legally have to stop and pick up the fare though?
