Getting the car back shortly and some small jobs on my mind.

Has anyone fitted led headlights? Wondered if anyone has a comparison against HIDS also?

Thanks

Reuben

Hi Daz if you let us know if they fit and how they comapre if they do that would be great.

Hids are great but if i can do without a ballast with improvement of light i will do that for more of an oem look under the bonnet

The one's above are driving lights, not headlight LED's, I think! You need something like this for the headlights....

Reuben, I got my LED headlight today and will be fitting them in the evening then testing over the weekend. I will let you know how I get on with them.

I bought NSSC S+ 5500k with Philips Lumileds Z ES. They look like this:

So far nothing beats the hids. Led lights on my Bravo 2 - super dark, just like regular halogen lights but they reach further ahead. With Hids I have day at night.

No probs. Go for more expensive set of hids preferably 55W. You will avoid many issues. My mate just bought a set of 35W hids for £15 and he cannot stand them. I paid £50 for a set of 55W and got no issues.

I bought these earlier this year for my hyundai coupe. Performed perfectly. HID's are so cheap now.

I bought my HIDs on ebay from HIDONLINEUK. You want the slim ballast ones. They work fine, a great improvement for the dipped beams, but you can't put them in main beam because they take a few seconds from switch-on to get to full brightness. I chose 4300K colour temp - I don't like the blue colour of 6000K.

Have a look here: LED COB Ring rear light conversion
You don't want "fairy lights" you want solid rings. I have my old set available if you're interested? They have enhanced reflectors for the brake light element of the bulb. Side lights are the rings, bulb for brake. I found that to be the brightest way.
