The big mystery remains. Who is Deirdre? Deposit paid for the Glenfinnan Hotel, supposedly part of our group and a no-show!? Silver_Fox Dee perhaps?!

That's my new favourite Royal Mail truck footage.

Yes and he spoiled the growl of the approaching coupes.

Stunning scenery though and love the reverse rotation effect of the wheels.

Loved Barneys patter & there were a few moments when he kept me on the right path... wink Genuinely thanks for that Barney.

Lego & I bonded very well I thought, big man with a big heart, a lovely family which was an honour to meet.

Everyone was lovely. I'm running out of words so I'll stop for now.

Holy shoot, I never realised how much of an old git I look like..... nerd

Ach, yer an old Blether! I only made friends with you cos I liked your brother with the long Silver hair that we met in Beauly.

I admire your heavy right foot though. laugh

Me a blether? wink Have to say though, after a high such as our tour, I'm usually back home on a downer, but I'm remarkably upbeat, must've been all that vitamin D & all the seafood I scoffed.... hehe

Cheers Bern.

Hmm! chinny Why she didn't ask me when I settled up is a bit suspicious as it was booked in my name. She also refunded it without asking for any evidence or discussion/argument which just didn't ring true. I also quoted wrong date initially and she assumed I was someone else who had also been charged for extra rooms.

Posting photos:

Make everyones life easier life easier and just post them on the club Facebook page where it is much easier to do and also much easier to view for others.

You have got up to date camera technology that needs to be matched up with up to date social media. You'll meet lots of people you know from here and see lots of Pics and Videos that you don't see posted here. smile

If you must post them here: please post a link to a slideshow rather than posting them individually.

You can bulk upload to Photobucket by selecting multiple images and/or dropping multiple selections in the upload box. Select the folder on Photobucket and then click on slideshow. Once the slideshow loads - copy it's web address and put it in your post.

Voila Old Slideshow

smile

Don't know if Plockton are badly organised or keen to pull a fast one. We can't be sure either way. Just glad you sorted it.
I could put together a web page with my photos and link to it but free time is a luxury. I've many other more important things to do.
For now Farcebook is not on my radar, genuinely sorry if that means I won't get to see your photos.

Exactly Bern, which is why I don't like wasting time with the ridiculous number of steps just to post a pic here and the laborious way everybody has to view them. It is literally last century technology as I was doing it on Scooby forums in the late 1990s.

Facebook or Instagram is far easier and quicker, the technology is designed to work with it. It's one of the reasons that the forum is so quiet. I can post a photo straight from my Camera or phone without the nonsense involved here and people give you much more feedback. Also my family and friends can see them and comment on them.

It's not by chance that billions of people, clubs, groups and businesses use FB. It's an excellent tool for communication.

Posting pics here is the equivalent of using a film camera- getting the film developed- then scanning the pics to a PC, or refusing to move on from recordin to VHS tapes or DVD discs.

Embrace the technology guys and free up your time. smile

I use my iPad for most photos now.
I work on many holiday homes here in France and it's a very useful tool for keeping clients up to speed with progress etc I just pop it onto thier FB page.
Helps getting my invoices paid also!

Would be great to see the Scottish trip pics on the club FB page.

I just never imagined myself doing this sort of stuff but I find it fun now.

I can explain the mystery folks!

I'm guilty I'm afraid I was unable to come along and couldn't manage to phone as was a bit busy...having a small heart attack!

It sounds like you guys had a great time and I'm sorry I missed it especially as my coop was looking fab too.

Instead I spent a couple of nights in Inverclyde RH and enjoyed the misery that is NHS food!

I received an email from the hotel just to say 'we'll be charging you full whack' due to no show so emailed to apologise on Sunday when I was stabilised to let them know why. Their response was sorry to hear that "Get well soon" but no offer of a reduced charge...business is business I suppose!

Hopefully catch you all next time. smile

Oh!

That's a grave shame- I hope you are on the road to recovery now??

Very sad, especially as you had made the effort- we did all expect to see you. Thanks for explaining- I hope you are better than you were then and that we can plan another event to incorporate you...

Here is my google drive link to my pictures which are showing in reverse, which is novel. Start at the bottom and work up...

shocked Gosh, sorry to hear that Dee! Having had something similar myself about 3 1/2 years ago I'd be happy if you want to discuss anything by PM smile There are one or two things you might find useful to know which are not readily communicated.

A couple of nights sounds like you have escaped the worst and got off more lightly but it makes you stop and think for a bit!

Under the circs I would have thought it a nice gesture to say knock 50% off the bill..?

Get well soon, you will feel pretty groggy at first but I've been to Spa since and even survived the North of Scotland w/e laugh

Just getting around to sifting through some of the pics Pauline and I have taken. Ive posted a link in Legos pics thread.

Got to say a big thank you to everyone... this was a awesome long weekend which actually didn't feel long at all and I could easily have extended this to a week. The weather turned out great and really couldn't have asked for better.

The company was superb and everyone put it a huge effort to make this all come together. Great to see some new faces and some old.

Cant wait for the next one.

Dee I’m very sorry to hear of your episode and I do hope your recovering well.

I would like to thank some one else who wasn't on the trip in person but his widget was a life saver for me...Mr Barnacle.

This gave me piece of mind looking at all the numbers doing as they should when I was giving it the beans around some of the single track coastal roads....... driving thumb
