Excellent day and good to meet some new people. Massive thanks to Joe (Countrycruising) for getting my Lancia going and avoiding me the indignity of having to have it recovered. Proves it's not only coupes that he has the magic touch with.

Great day out and an excellent Autoitalia, good turn out of cars of all marques and think actually our new Coupe spot was alright.

Shame with the Lambo as I watched it happen straight in front of me, looked an expensive repair when I saw it waiting for recovery on the way out.

Thoroughly enjoyed our mini Coupe convoy up from Portsmouth with Chris, Gary and Richard, bit of fun and my first proper Coupe drive for 9 months....really missed driving the VIS cool

If all else fails read the instructions

What was the damage on the Lambo like? I saw from a distance.

From what my mate showed me on YouTube the rear wheel was at a funky angle. It didn't help he was driving like a bit of a plum on the wet hairpin so was only going to end one way frown

Good day out, I counted 38 coupes at one point, CC son counted 50 odd, so a very good turn out.

Sorry I didn't talk to many people or for long, but an old friend turned up that I hadn't seen in a year so took the opportunity to catch up with him.

Got photos of the Coupes on track and the hill, so will get the photos uploaded. If people want high res, just PM me and I'll chuck them across.

Great day, shame about the rain but excellent turn out and top marks for effort from everyone including the club coffee table thumb
Not long been home after spending 4hrs at work changing Rosa'a downpipe, the second run up the test hill fractured the bellows in the felx so our drive home was noisy you might say sick
Great to see the usual faces and meet some new folk, thanks to Barry for the box of Ale, I'm sipping on one now as I think I've deserved it wink
Lovely classic you've got there Chris, it was refreshing to see an engine with twin carbs instead of injectors for a change.
Jake has the pictures of the day so I'll nab a copy when he's 'done his stuff' with them, shame about the Lambo armco mating, looked expensive!

Great day out, thanks Joe for the boot seal thumb
The Lambo drivers pride hurt him more than anything else, saw him at the hotel after, as he shortened our lap drive I really wanted to thank him and ask how he managed to do that in a car that's basically telepathic on where you want to go!! But his mates were doing a grand job of that laugh jester biglaugh driving

as for Pictures. I've stuck my pictures up in the Facebook group as I can't seem to get into my photo bucket account grr

Also, at the request of the Fiat Forum, I've placed details of their event on the Facebook page smile

Patch - literally moments after you drove away (and you know *I* use the word 'literally' exactly) a chap wandered up and asked if anyone had a plus for sale, as he wanted to hand them a bundle of cash... I pointed him at yours on the forum here, so he might appear.

Great day out. Slightly spoiled by a bad back and a little rain.

Some fabulous cars and great turn out for the coupes.
Fiat forum really came out in force and a few things to think about when we all do another.
I havent attended a meet is such a while i forgot how good they are.

My brother coupe's was great again despite its looks.

The entrance to brooklands really set a scene for the day with hundreds of italian cars lined up with most things you could think of?

Was that you Phil plodding on the m40 as we came past?

Just a few luxuries i think. Just a expansion on what we had at Brooklands. Certainly grateful ive what we had of course.

A gazebo? I know there was one a spa a few years ago. Nothing big and heavy just something foldaway that fits in the boot.
Fiat forum had a scheduled lunch, donut morning etc.
Maybe just some subway platters brought up.£18 for 16 sandwiches. For the cost of a burger down there you could just ask for a donation(if you wanted).

I know not feasible for all meets but for the big events, why not. Not huge expenditure. Heck if arranged well im sure we would chip in anyway as members. I certain would for my next one.

This was based on the numbers we had there. Must have been 40+ coupes and more members/forum users than that.

Gazebo - We had one and discussed erecting it. Unfortunately we had no means of securing it to the concrete surface, and as I didn't have a couple of large concrete blocks in the Coupé we decided not to erect it. Sorry if you feel that was wrong but it was the assessment we made on the day frown

Breakfast - Lunch. This is a tough one as can see both sides. I am fairly sure that the organisers of such events dearly wish for those in attendance to use the on-site catering facilities who they have organised to provide for the event. Yes they are often expensive but everyone going knows that and has a choice before they arrive.

If we as an organisation choose to provide catering, as the Fiat Forum do, we are in effect undermining the event organisers wishes, why would we honestly wish to do that? If every club at the Auto Italia events chose to do the same thing as the Fiat Forum then the on-site caterers would not make money and not bother attending future events. Judging by how busy the units were, they were very popular.

As the Fiat Forum are now branching out into being an event organiser it will be interesting to see if they still participate in the practice of providing and undermining their organised on-site catering and bar facilities.

Gazebo- Never said it was wrong at all. Just if there is one and as you said a way of tieing down its a nice luxury to have given us all running in packing the chair in and back out. Never knew you had one. I will look into weights maybe for the next one.

Lunch is fine, reading it back it sound like i don't wish to pay to use the catering. If fact we did and was decent. Just an additional idea to show good will/support to participants and members who attend with fccuk. An additional bonding point to attendees. It seemed a nice gesture.

Just looking at other clubs and seeing how they do things. It was a successful meet for fccuk and fiat forum. It was nice to see which formulas work and keep people attending the meets especially how we come across to potentially new members or people have never attended with us old members.

I see your point with the catering though.. Platter just for me next then! biglaugh

Yes i see the fiat forum are arranging there own event's. See how that thrashes out.

One final point on the Gazeebo. At an early SPA event a gazeebo did break free! There was some very minor damage caused to a Coupé and a very near miss, too close really, with the Lamborghinis parked below ooo
