I don't believe this. Postman has just been and I've had our entry form returned with the words 'really sorry, event fully booked' written across it

I sent off our initial entry form months ago and then the second one has to be returned with names and reg numbers at least 4 weeks before the event, which I did on the 10th July, yet I've still failed to gain entry for us

Really sorry to everyone who was going to be attending this and for people like me who have booked time off work but I'm afraid there's nothing I can do

SATURDAY 22 AUGUST 2015
Oulton Park is gearing up for a terrific day of racing this Saturday with a packed prgramme of BRSCC Club Car Championship racing.

Aciton includes low-downforce single-seater battles in the Avon Tyres Formula Ford 1600 races, and lightweight sports car contests in the prototype-style Sports 2000 classes and Mazda MX-5 races.

The paddock is open so the fans can meet the teams and drivers.

I love the Tatton events the most, out of all the car events I've attended, so to say I'm extremely pissed off is an understatement

Sorry to hear you could not get a stand at Tatton. I guess you faced the same situation for the show in May, but I presume you then applied to exhibit your car as an individual entry. Have you considered doing the same again this time?
Apart from that, I think Brian's suggestion of a day out at Oulton Park is a good one and I am certainly up for it if we have enough people interested. You should note that a senior's ticket is only £10 on the gate, so you don't have to buy a ticket in advance if you are over 60. This also means you don't have to commit yourself in case it's pouring with rain!

In May, only 3 or 4 people put their names down to attend, so when I received tickets back, I had a note attached from the organiser stating there wasn't enough cars for a club stand, so he sent me individual entry tickets for the registration numbers I'd submitted, including mine.

I haven't bothered asking just to exhibit mine as an individual entry, as I'd feel it was unfair on those who wanted to go as a club and have assumed the event is full to private entries too.

There's obviously better car clubs out there than us, with a better attendance year after year, so they have probably had priority over us

I think your assessment is probably correct Theresa. Maybe next time we should all just submit individual entries and then all park up together in the miscellaneous area.

In the meantime, let's go with the idea of a get together at Oulton Park.

The individual entries might be a good idea for next year, although that area gets pretty full up too!

I'll start a new thread regarding the Oulton Park event.

I might only be a 'maybe' for Oulton Park now, as a friend of mine has left work and there's a leaving do for her on the Friday night.
It wouldn't normally be something I could attend due to my working hours, but because of the Tatton weekend, I decided to take the whole week off from my main job, so may go to the leaving do instead.
I'll have to see nearer the time.

Individual entries worth a try but from talking to a number of people at the May show a lot of them who applied for both days were just being offered one.
