Pretty cool choice of shell to use, shame his launch was pants!

Yes he missed the launch but not by as much as it looks as the `other car` launched well. I understand that the track wasn`t very grippy, the car could run high 7`s I suspect on a perfect run with a better surface.

I`m not a Golf fan but I have some friends who are, I have been merciless in my teasing about the wing mirrors and VR6 having half the power of mine.

To be fair he seems to of done everything possibly to get the best time!
Is that how you launch on that sort of box or does he have clutch binding issues? noticed he is holding the handbrake on up to launch?
wonder how much he spent?
Impressive stuff though!

My point on the launch was time to lights, the gtir launched at the right time, the guy with golf shelled drag car didn't. Nothing to do with clutch or box, he simply reacted late.

Impressed he kept it running in a straight line as it looked hard work. What motor / running gear is in it and does it go round corners?

I think the Nissan launch is with right foot on throttle, left foot on brake and easier/faster shift.

The Golf driver just messed that one up, an earlier run on lower boost saw a much better launch.

He seems to control the car well, I don`t know many details of the build but I believe that the car does indeed go round corners.

Time between rebuilds? 50 hours maybe?
