Hey Gripped, did you use the TransferWise link ok? When I ask for another link it gives me the same one, so the rest of you guys can use it too smile

Hiya Dave

Well, so far so good. They say my funds are now in their account awaiting transfer on Thurs.

Must admit I did have some trouble with the website seeming blanking all the information, so I had to go back in.... and told me to reset a password I don't even have....

anyway, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the link, should save a few quid

Just sorting accommodation for the trip down. Will probably stay near the channel tunnel the blast down to chambery or somewhere to stay before driving to Turin on the Friday morning.

Any recommendations on where to stay in france within 2 hours of Turin?

Cheers !

The former Olympic city of Albertville (Graham and Martin Bell era) might be an option to you.
It's only a tiny bit from the direct route.
This will leave you with 120 milles to Turin via the Mont Blanc tunnel.
All motorways (or you could add an extra 45 minutes or so and cross the magnificent Col de la Madeleine).

Thanks mate

I've booked a hotel Chambery as we'll to go Turin via the closer Frejus tunnel. After the event, we'll then go to Chamonix via the Aosta valley and Mont Blan Tunnel. Going to stay there for a few days.

They could be but I'm trying to minimise costs. I was assuming that everyone will be at the hotel on Friday afternoon so would get the stickers for the main part of the event.

Pete, if you are coming to Brooklands I can collect mine there, and any others who don't want them in advance. If it were me I'd happily stump up a quid to post mine out, what about the others?

UK based fccuk-ers (12):
  • 09 Alan M England arm & TBC (Berks) - submitted and deposit sent
  • 18 Neil B. UK Barnacle + Mrs Barnacle (Herts) - Paid in full
  • 23 Mike M. UK MCMike (Loc?)- Submitted and deposit sent
  • 25 Nick B. UK Sedicivalvole (Northants) - Submitted and deposit sent
  • 28 Joe K. GB Countrycruising (Worcs) - Submitted and deposit sent
  • 31 Charles A. UK
  • 37 Victoria S. England
  • 41 Toby G. UK Gripped + Mrs G. (S Wales) - Submitted and deposit sent. FULL PAYMENT
  • 43 David G. United Kingdom DaveG (Surrey) Paid in full
  • 48 David G. United Kingdom Gilbo (Mr&Mrs) (Chester) - Submitted and deposit sent
  • 87 Bob M. UK Barmybob (Mr, Mrs & not so Mini) (Cambs)Paid in full
  • 98 Antony W. UK Boosted7 (Berks)
Other non-UK fccuk-ers (2)
  • 19 Kayjey & Steven Danckaert (Belgium) - submitted and deposit sent
  • 24 Frazer M. France, French Coupe (Mr&Mrs) - Submitted and full payment
(I'm not sure that we all need to know who's paid and who hasn't, but it's a useful reminder for those who haven't, hopefully they won't forget or change their mind about coming?)

I've added locations to see if there's any chance for a convoy, maybe me, arm and Boosted7 could sort something out?
I also move Frazer to non-UK< he was in there twice (#24)

Don't forget the free transfer you can get using TransferWise: https://transferwise.com/u/74b98

If I get 3 referrals I get a £50 thank you that I was planning to use as beer money!

Pete

I was hoping to "wear the sticker with pride" on the way to Turin. Happy to pay postage... I know this could be a bit of hassle for you to post out, though probably only a handful of us want them before the event.

Does the club use Paypal etc?

I would be more than happy to pay the postage if it's not hassle.

Hi guys, I am one of the responsible people for making the trip-to-torino.com smile

As we are also going to the Anniversary, we thought about giving Fiat Coupe owners the possibility to contact others going to the event, with the point to join on the way and drive together.

That's why we've created the Facebook page and the site with everyone's routes.
You are welcome to add your planned route and contact others for joining in more coupes instead of going all from one country alone wink

Then, I suppose just as you do, we also put our passion and connection to our Fiat Coupes into the car customization and the will to wear signs or have gadgets related to Fiat Coupe.

I didn't see this topic before, but we had created yet a graphic design for our trip which we've called the "FIAT COUPE TRIP TO TORINO - Fiat Coupe Owner's World Trip To Torino for the 20th anniversary 2014". Of course it's not just our trip, it's everyone's going to the Anniversary so you can get the same sticker as you like - we made it for ourselves but as you probably know, the printing methods causes we've got some more of them.

Finally because we wanted to feel the group strength with our friends going to Torino (and the effect when 10 people wearing the same clothes enters a gas station), we've prepared a t-shirt we will be wearing during the trip, which also can have the nick and the flag onto it. These are also available for you if you'd like to - we recently organized the pre-order which is on until the 20th April.

Summarizing, we all would be happy to see your routes put on the Facebook page and off course possibly to join you on the way to Torino :-) Does any of your routes coincide with those on the site?

Cheers and regards
Luca

Yes, it had been off the road since early 2012, now it's back with a new alternator and belts, new A/C compressor, condenser, drier, pressure switch and o-rings, new turbo oil drain hose, re-sealed turbo oil drain connection, new cam cover gasket, fixed leaky exhaust manifold stud, new exhaust manifold and gasket, refurb-ed (again) radiator support rail, refurb-ed brembos, new front brake discs & yellow stuff pads, various new silicone hoses, added bluetooth to head unit, new bracket for phone...

...and still a few odd tweaks here and there, but it's great to be driving it again after a long absence!

I've just fitted new shocks, silicone hoses and had the air-con regassed in preparation for the trip. I also fitted a new stereo and speakers. Still need a couple of new tyres and a clutch, then should be just about good to go!
