For me:
Purchase price off forum member: £1500
New clutch 6months after: £450
New cambelt, auxilliary belts, waterpump: £480
Thermostat: £80
4 new tires: £320
bodywork: £580

Two services: £300

Other bits and bobs and fuel and i've got my coupe how i want it now, just getting new ac condensor fitted next week to get the ac sorted and try to fix the damn airbag light and she'll be fully sorted. Only big expense on the horizon will be when the original turbo packs up but it boosts v strongly and no smoke at the mo so shouldnt be for a while yet smile

All in all, most of the expense isnt even 'necessary' bar the clutch and cambelt and i still can't get over how cheap my coupes have been too run (on my third) and will happily buy a fourth as i really cant find anything else with the stunning, head turning looks of the coupe, effortless, hilariously quick performane, practicality, kit as standard and such low running csts given the age and performance available smile cars i have looked at are the mazda rx7 and a lancia delta hf integrale but i think they would be more troublesome/expensive to run and the rx7's interior is hideous whereas the coupes is just stunning an fresh as a morning breeze lol smile Sorry for going off topic, just still adore these cars

No longer have mine and don't have the exact breakdown to hand but my maths worked out over 4 years to

£4k servicing and maintenance
£4.5k depreciation

Pretty much £200/month to run. None of your go faster mods but those costs did include buying and fitting of Bilsteins, Eibachs, Strut Brace, Widget and AP racing front discs. Not forgetting the removal of the Eibachs when I moved house and realised I couldn't get the bugger up the drive forwards blush.

I need to dig out the invoices. But a quick round up of what I've spent puts me around 6K in 11 months (all in, inc petrol, tax, parts but excluding original purchase).

It's all so depressing when you look at it like that frown

Anyone what to buy a sprint blue with jobs needed for 6K? laugh

Oh definitely! It's likely it would have been more parts for the kit car that'll never get built; so as the £ per grin ratio is off the chart with the coop, guess I'm happy.

I'm up to about £900 of parts, oil, paint, rusteater etc. over 6000 miles and 3 years, but none of the big jobs have come up yet.

Yea thats it, I brought mine at 94000m had still had original turbo so that soon went and I only had the cambelt done because the cam sensor was knackerd and i thought i'd kill 2 birds with one stone as its an engine out job either way.
I could of spent less in the sort term but all being well all the big jobs are out of the way apart from maybe the clutch.
Your doing alot less miles which will help smile

Dunc,

Kin ell.

The car stranded me once (all for a 50p fuse). The recovery geezer was a right numpty; he may well have jacked it up incorrectly (I wasn't present). Or it was there when I bought it? (think Rog might have spotted it though...).

Other than that, you've loved it up a wee bit (!) and had some more bills along the way (surprised about the tyres?).

Glad it's still running well. Really chuffed it's in the hands of someone who genuinely cares for it too. As you know that was v important to me.

Must say it looks the absolute dogs still. When you get the M3/ Mazzer give me a shout.

Cheers, Hedge

P.S. Chrome rings = modding. Shame on you!!!
