Meeting in East Sussex/Kent boarders

Meeting in East Sussex/Kent boarders - 23/09/2006 01:29

It has been suggested to me by StuP that I post something here for a meet. StuP, Joel and myself would like to get together in this glorious part of the world. Is there anyone else that would be up for this, or should we set a fixed date and re-post? Have no experience of these matters!

Met up with Joel yesterday and we have possibly decided on a meet that will cover driving roads around the Ashdown Forest (good scenic car parks), Maresfield (good DC), Crowborough etc.

We will meet up next weekend to drive some possible routes to decide and look for a decent pub meeting place.

Is there any interest from anyone else out there?

Cool, that sounds like a good area with some good roads

I'm hoping for a mini convoy from the Bexhill/Eastbourne area with Yellafella. Any others around are more than welcome to join us

there's some good country scenic routes round this area, plus a bit of dc thrown in , it should be a good cruise, hopefully jayzee & myself will try a couple of routes this weekend.
there are plenty of coops round this area so no excuse for a bad turnout.
let us know if you are interested in this meet & how long a drive you all fancy.

I can only do the 14th. Going to a beer festival on the 13th in Wallington.

The weekend after i'm on Holiday for two weeks.

We will sort out the route, hopefully this weekend.

Had a blast this afternoon in the area, apart from the weather, looking good

Met up with adder58 and Joel yesterday.

We had a quick blast though the Ashdown Forest and although a stunning setting, we feel that there may be problems for some locating the venue.

We are now looking at possibly meeting at the Hop Farm in Paddock Wood or maybe Brands?

We will keep you posted.

we had a good blast through ashdown forest, some lovely roads & great scenery, as jayzee says it could be a bit tricky for people to find, i took us the wronge way maybe keep this route for the local coops

the hopfarm route is a good one, some nice dc's, we just need to sort the date out now, suggestions welcome

Hop farm is a good idea. It's impossible to miss it!! Is there a pub or something there, I've never really stopped off..

Dates are all good for me, I don't know what Im doing until a couple of days before anyway!

It was a great drive round Ashdown shame we parked up just as the Fast and Furious guys went past

The idea we came up with was meet up around Brands Hatch somewhere, Then a nice drive down over the M20 under the M26 then turn into Seven Mile Lane, then onto the Hopfarm. Which has a Pub. Or there is the Blue Bell thats opposite it, sits along side the Dual Carriage Way . So we can stop for a chat, drink,food, and a bit of Cruising up and the the D/C which has a roundabout that, so far, I have managed 70+ on the exit . Not that I encourage such driving

The thing is when. We have the Blue water meet on the 11th November. Are there many fellow fccuker's that can handle 2 meets before Xmas or do we leave it until after the New year
