As i do bodywork, resprays etc for a living i thought id show you all some pics of my brother in laws coupe that i had to sort out, when he bought the coupe to was a right mess dents galore, so i worked some magic and all at a fraction of the cost of a bodyshop, just hope mine looks as good as this does.

Paint looks great - a sort of cross between Vinci and Scottie.
Are you going to paint the mirrors too?

It`s possible that some folks are shocked that you have chosen to change what is widely regarded as the best colour on a Coop. (Not me, I dream of an orange Lambo!)

Paintwork is a major expense for me which I hope to avoid for a while.

Yeah the main reason i decided to change the colour was that it was in poor condition lacquer peel and dents galore and tbh i was not that keen on the yellow for some reason plus wanted something totally different, i nearly painted it kawasaki green but changed my mind at the last min. Think im going to leave the mirrors black, iv just started painting parts of the dash etc so its coming on at last

Those flitch panels look terrible in black; they need to match the rest of the body to stop the automatic double-take!

Looks great, a little like that nissan colour a few years back. Always nice to see people doing this differently.

Most impressed! did not realise you could do the colour flip stuff at different times always thought it had to be done in a one-er
Looking good! nice alternative to the green!

Its easier if you can do the complete side in one go as it all blends better, but it can be done but has to be mixed exactly the same and with same amount of coats etc, wont be nice if i have to patch anything up in the future though.
