My Custom New LED rear lights

HI I've always been interested in updating the rear lights on the coupe but never found anything that I really liked. Gregs Racing Parts in the US has a great kit that's available for the Lotus range of cars but are just too large to fit the coupe at 120mm Diameter. So neccesity being the mother of invention I decided to make my own. I sourced the Hella LED lights that many have used from Spareto and went ahead modifying them to suit my tastes. I added an outer park light LED ring and kept the indicator lights below.

Sorry to be a bit of a 'party-pooper' ... and each to their own etc. but I'm not sure that they actually enhance the Coupé rear end!

I rather like the standard fitment, and there's not issues with brightness, so .......


Mind you, I'm sure others probably feel the same about the add-on body panels on mine ( my only excuse is that I didn't fit them!)

I'm with Paul. Are you really a better car stylist than Chris Bangle?

Over the years I've seen many different design rear light units for the Coupé and I've never been a massive fan because they look just to different to OE, so I works with a chap and had clear lenses manufactured many moons ago and organised a small group buy which sold straight away but costs were too high to do a second run but I kept a set for my LE which are still in use today.

Oh well, I like them and that's all that really matters.

And I never said I was a better designer than Chris Bangle
I just think the rear lights are probably the most boring part

You are right. We all do things to our cars, and some folk may not like it.
It doesn't make it wrong.

It's all about having fun !

Hi Fila, I see you're from Oz; we used to have some coupé owners from your side of the world on this forum, do you know any?

And so you should, they look smart. I don't think it'd work for every colour of coupe. But yours is more of a 'modern' colour so can carry that more modern light style IMO

the last Fiat meet down here in Melbourne there were only 4 coupes at the show but I believe there are possibly 10 in the country. I think mine is the only VIS in Oz.

The car is virtually brand new with only 52,000 miles on the clock.

Now that is a lovely looking car.

No wonder you are proud of it.

Thank you, it needed a bit of mechanical work to get it right, makes it harder in Oz as there are so few and hardly any parts.
