Playing with the Eper link above, 00072891 seems to be the last consecutive chassis number that it accepts, so possibly that was the number of the one in the pic, although Eper lists 00072891 as RHD and the one in the pic looks like LHD.

The chassis numbers don't seem to be assigned purely by manufacture date, the 00072891 car is made November 2000 but there are a few with slightly lower chassis numbers made December 2000, so maybe those were really the last ones. It appeared to be down to only 1 or 2 made per week by December 2000.

Mine has Vin number 2253 but pininfarinas buildnumber 1947 and EPER says vehiclenumber 2219 so who knows what, where, when, why laugh
Vin from Fiat, then chassis goes to Pininfarina and gets buildnr, dont know if they picked random from colour or from Vin. What the vehiclenumber means? i have no idea!

I doubt the cars rolling down the production line are strictly in chassis number order. 72889 was built Dec 2000.

Eh? The photo shows the "last" Coupe being built in September 2000 - did they find some surplus bodyshells and decide to throw a few more together for somebody's Christmas pressie?

Mine is a April 2000 registration, but presumably a late 1999 build

Well according to eper, mine was simply made in June... I don't think the system can cope with pre-2000 dates. It was registered 27th October 95.

My old 16v (00025103) simply shows as May on Eper - just noticed that Eper also shows a "Vehicle number" - mine was 24885 - does this mean anything?

Re: 72800 th and final coupe Produced. - 05/08/2015 16:37

Curious - my chassis number/VIN is P0025016 but the vehicle number is 00025742.

Checked your pininfarina build numbers? You find it in the boot, right side behind the covers as i recall..i got nr 1947 btw laugh

The vin vs wehicle number differences is not concistent as i see from the numbers above.. Thought it might be because of using a number of cars for testing but that would meen the difference in number was the same on all cars..

Both you guys got 20vt's right?
Dont understand how your pininfarina numbers can be lower than mine.. Did they have separate series for each modell? Mines 94/04 production and delivered 94/05 so it didnt stay in the warehouse at pininfarina for any length of time either.

Probably a different series of numbers between left and right hand drive body shells.

Mine is 200 and something IIRC.
