I missed this car by minutes on Autotrader when Patch beat me to it, having my usual browse through PH Classified and there she is with an asking price of £8K, still needs the roof and bonnet resprayed same as when Patch sold it; with what looks like a £2.5k premium shocked. Looks nice in the pictures

The car looks lovely and I saw it at Stanford Hall. I would say it would be worth that money if the paint had already been done. From what I saw of it the laquer peel had also gone across the top of the rear wings not just the boot and roof.........

Yes it seems odd to be selling a coupe at that price which is only in primer laugh

I just don't see why a coupe this age that has been modded will ever fetch that sort of price. If it was still standard then maybe. Looks in good nick though and well cared for.

And there are a few but only minor chips / shopping trolley prangs.

I know there have been some high-value sales recently, and this is quite a rare spec/colour combo, but £8k when it needs not-insignificant money spent on the bodywork?? I'm with Bockers here but I've been wrong before!!

I've sent him an email asking him why he thinks its suddenly worth £2.5k more when it doesn't look like he has don't anything to it......he didn't even write the advert smile

Lets hope there's someone out there willing to pay. Imo, it gives the rest of us some hope that we're not piling money into a hole.

i'll definitely buy it from him if he lowers his asking price to something more sensible....like what he paid 3 months ago.

I don't think you can criticize the guy for trying. At the end of the day it won't sell if no-ones prepared to pay. Good Coupes especially Crono's have had some press lately with the rarity value here so you never know. As mentioned its probably want a good one really should be worth IMO in todays market - if the paint was sorted...

Well if you "don't ask" you "don't get"

and if "No-one asks" then "none of us will ever get"
