Just got her back after 12 years !!

Hi all, just joined the forum, so I thought I should say hello...

I've just bought the 20vt Plus back from the very nice chap I sold it to 12 years ago!!

If I remember correctly, it was the last Coupe registered in Lincoln...

She's a beauty!

Enjoy ! Lovely rare colour plus, will be interested to know how she feels now compared to 12 years ago !

It felt exactly the same as the last time I drove it to be honest....

But it's been impeccably maintained by BLS in Lincoln all its life by the one owner since.

Currently sat with 54,000 miles and total service history, so it should be reasonably good I guess!!

Ran without fault on the relatively short trip home yesterday...

If my memory is working correctly, we registered a total of 14 Coupés of all types at the Lincoln Dealership in the 1990's.

5 of them were my Company cars (all 20vt), of which my new acquisition was the very last one (and best)in March 2000.

I have to say, it drives as good now as it did back then, which I have to give credit to my pal Paul, for keeping it in such good shape all these years...

This is a great re-union!

I sold it to him and his good lady October 2000, and I asked that when he decided to finally sell it again, he gave me first refusal...

We've kept in touch ever since, and when the chance can up recently, I said yes please !!

Very please I did, as its a proper blast from the past for me, and every bit as good as when I first drove it (March 2000)

The only difference is that the seat feels a lot "narrower" after all these years... Not really something I can blame the car for unfortunately !!

Does this have the 'Fiat Recaro' airbag seats ? or the 'standard' recaro's.....

Welcome, excellent choice in car and colour.

It is my full intention to keep this beauty in as standard a condition as possible...

It still have the remote control stereo & boot mounted CD player, and even the dealer fitted Meta remote alarm system still works!

However, its had a Stainless Blueflame cat back system fitted, and was just wondering what difference a high-flow filter & maybe a chip would make...

(I must stop with these ridiculous thoughts !!)

Not been about for a while, and in the last 12 months I've done the sum total of zero car miles...

New battery just fitted, and some fresh air in the tyres (2 will need imminent replacement) and she's almost ready for am MOT.
